Anesthesia through intravenous sedation

Modern advances in the techniques and medications used for dental treatment greatly reduce or even eliminate the discomfort during dental interventions. However, there are certain cases, specific patients or surgical procedures that require some kind of analgesia.
We at MIG DENT take care of patients’ comfort by giving them a choice between local anesthesia (the patient is conscious and locally anesthetized) and intravenous sedation (the patient receives premedication, which has a calming effect and removes memory) for serious surgical interventions.

When is intravenous sedation used?

Venous anesthesia is used for all types of oral surgery. Many patients choose this technique to remove wisdom teeth or place implants. It is indicated in advanced procedures, such as facial and jaw reconstructions, as well as for patients with chronic diseases of various systems.
